Toronto Conservation Action Network is organizing a number of Community Eco-fairs in March 2008
The fairs aim to connect people with the organizations and companies that can help them live better through conservation. The fairs are hosted by the Conservation Council of Ontario in partnership with Green Enterprise Toronto and five local partners, with the support of the Ontario Ministry of Energy.
The organizers will be using a speed-presentation format, which means people can hear between five and seven short pitches within an hour. Participants will receive a list of presenters and they will be able to choose the presentations they want to hear. “It’s like speed-dating for the environment,” said Chris Winter, Executive Director of the Conservation Council of Ontario. “It means people can pick the presentations they are interested in.”
